How Search & Review evaluates products.
Our process
We begin with the use case: who the product is for, what problem it must solve, and which constraints could make it unsuitable. We compare manufacturer documentation, specifications, manuals, compatibility requirements, warranties, and safety information. Retail prices and availability are treated as changeable.
Testing labels
We distinguish specification-based research from hands-on testing. We do not imply that we purchased, handled, measured, or laboratory-tested a product unless the article explicitly describes that work.
Commercial independence
Advertising and affiliate relationships are handled separately from editorial conclusions. A higher commission does not earn a better ranking. Sponsored content, if introduced, will be labeled prominently.
Sources and updates
We favor current manufacturer documentation and other primary sources for product claims. Guides display an update date and are reviewed when models, specifications, safety information, or market availability materially change.
Corrections
Readers and manufacturers may submit corrections to editor@searchnreview.com. Requests must identify the claim and provide supporting documentation. We retain editorial control over all changes.
